Some HBO Max users got a big surprise when they attempted to watch Tom and Jerry tonight, as Zack Snyder's Justice League began to play in place of the children's adventure.
The glitch was sorted after a couple of hours, but several fans got to see at least half of the movie, and there are already some leaks doing the rounds online.
The error first came to light when a Twitter user shared the following image.
Nobody seems to be sure how the "Snyder Cut" leaked 10 days early, but, as you might expect, there are some pretty wild theories out there. Of course, the most likely explanation is that it was an honest mistake by the WarnerMedia streaming service, though it's certainly an unusual development.
In Zack Snyder's Justice League, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes.
Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.
The "Snyder Cut" will be with us on March 18. Are you planning to check it out when it hits HBO Max?
