Back for CinemaCon Day 3!

Disney and 20th Century Studios are taking the stage today to preview their biggest 2023 releases, which, of course, includes a pair of Marvel Studios releases: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and The Marvels. While we wouldn't expect to see too much new stuff from the former since it is out next week, they could debut fresh footage from the Brie Larson-starrer to get attendees even more hyped.

Following Marvel Studios, we'd expect The Little MermaidThe BoogeymanElemental, and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny to get a lot of shine, and we wouldn't be surprised to get fresh footage from Haunted MansionA Haunting in Venice and/or Next Goal Wins

The Walt Disney Studios & 20th Century Studios presentation begins on April 26 at 9:30 AM PST (12:30 PM EST)!

Follow along below and leave your comments in the usual space!

"Feel like no cbm movie has really nailed super speed quite as well as DOFP."

My guy, have you not seen eternals?!?

@Vigor - This is the correct answer. My personal favorite on screen representation of a speedster. When she was fighting Ikarus and just laying in hits from all directions, I was pretty impressed with how they handled the character. It's nice to have a speedster show up in a film without an overindulgent slow motion thing, which is fun, but kind of cliche at this point.

@Vigor - I'll agree with that, Makarri was great. The Flash has a scene that's very similar to the DOFP/Apocalypse scenes, so that's why it came to mind first. Those scenes are a league above what we see here.

To be fair, The Flash does feel ultra-fast in the movie, but the Speed Force stuff is lacking.

@Vigor - I absolutely love DOFP, that scene in particular, but I agree. Makarri's speed was awesome in Eternals. I thought it was a clear highlight of the movie, & I don't think I've ever seen it depicted better than it was there.

@ThouBear8 - the rock music backtrack to it helps too!

Captain America/Falcon releases a full 3 years after FATWS first aired on D+. That's a lot of audience that will have lost interest in the Sam/Sharon/Bucky story arc.

@GeneralZod - I’m guessing they are going to heavily market the Hulk elements of it too. Maybe throw in some Rodgers nostalgia baiting. It could do well if it’s made well. I don’t have much faith in the writers and director chosen, but we will see.

@GeneralZod - I was thinking the same. Also, looking at the upcoming lineup, another Avengers movie (Kang Dynasty) doesnt feel earned at all based on what they've put out since endgame. I guess we will see how much they cane pull it together in the next two years.

@GeneralZod - I've already lost interest as soon as they made Falcon Captain America.

They could have just recast Steve Rogers, like they do with Bond.

@ShimmyShimmyYA - I honestly don't. Was thinking trailers, but could be anything

@bkmeijer1 - it’s just a trade show for the movie theater industry, studios essentially saying hey these are the movies we’re shipping out to you in the nearest future. Very very rarely they’ll talk about something that isn’t made yet

A Haunting in Venice having horror vibes is interesting. I loved the first two movies in this series and look forward to more.
