Marvel Studios Reportedly Hires WONDER WOMAN 1984 Writer To Pen The Script For An Unknown Movie

Though we don't have any details on the project he's signed on to write, we're hearing that Marvel Studios has tapped Wonder Woman 1984 scribe David Callaham to pen the script for an upcoming movie...

According to That Hashtag Show, Marvel has commissioned Wonder Woman 1984 screenwriter David Callaham to pen the script for one of the studio's yet-to-be announced movies.

In addition to the screenplay for Patty Jenkins' sequel, Callaham also wrote the 2014 Godzilla reboot and is working on Mortal Kombat and Zombieland 2.

Details on what this mysterious Marvel project could be are scarce, but THS reckons it is definitely a big screen release and not one of the shows that's currently being developed for Disney's streaming service.

Since the likes of Black Panther 2, Black Widow and The Eternals already have writers attached, could it be the Doctor Strange sequel we've been hearing whispers about recently? Or possibly even something we've only had rumors on so far like Dark Avengers?

Be sure to share your theories with us down below.

@smgmayhem @Forthas

I believe it's just going to be a movie reboot (for now).

@SuperCat - They also got Alan Heinberg (Wonder Woman) to do a female-centric Marvel show.

@Origame - Nope nope nope. Use the comic books to test that kind of new ground.

You want to spend $150 million on an unproven concept?

By the way, what are some new characters Marvel has created that DON'T rest on the backs of old characters?
Origame

@PsychoticSpaceRaccoon - come on. With how successful the mcu is, they cant take a genuine risk with something completely new? Especially since they're basically selling films off of the marvel brand alone?

I don't think this is for Doctor Strange 2.

The writers for that are the guys from the first one, Jon Spaihts & C. Robert Cargill.
