Probably related to the Moon Knight series if there's any truth to it, I guess. But is Marvel about to dunk on Universal's Dark Universe shared universe by doing it better and with superheroes?

Moon pies, gentlemen. Moon pies.

Hoping we get a Moon Knight, Blade and Doctor Strange crossover in the future!

This article treats Werewolf by Night as a.) A villain and b.) A joke. Really cool. Reeeeaaaly cool. It's not like Jack was the hero of his own series in which Moon Knight was actually the (admittedly via misunderstanding) villain or anything. He's basically supernatural Bruce Banner, which could also scratch that itch for those particular types of stories Marvel Studios hasn't been able to make since they've taken Hulk in a different direction. Also the name? Sure, it's a pun. It's also canonically not his real name. I guarantee they don't change it. If anything, they'll make it his alias once he goes on the run instead of his Americanized name.

Uhhhh if true that is definitely not something I saw coming. If they use him though I hope it’s not just as villain. He is definitely a cool hero in his own right.

I like the news whatever the MCU doesn't put on the big screen it goes to the streaming so the fans can experience the best of both worlds very cool. Really looking how they handle Werewolf By Night I wish they bring the defunk Marvel shows from Netflix that were canceled and give them MCU makeover.

@Spock0Clock - Leigh Whannell is doing The Invisible Man, and that's probably gonna be great, so lets wait until we know the creative team behind this first. Unless you only mean the Dark Universe that had The Mummy '17 and not the new one that's starting next year

I can actually see the character showing up in both Blade and Moon Knight

@tmp3 - I think the Dark Universe idea is officially dead over at Universal, with whatever stuff they do going forward as basically stand-alone.

The dunking I'm talking about is if (in six years' time) Marvel is making a movie where Dracula and Jack Russell and zombie Dum Dum Doogan are fighting Frankenthanos or whatever. That was basically Universal's plan a few years ago.

This sites problems were a little annoying before, but ever since spideypocalypse its been worse and I find myself coming here less and less

It's the comment system that has to be fixed. I'm sure. Not the only and when analytics data comes back end of this month and they see a dip, I bet that's when they decide to work on it

I just had a thought.

I can totally see them bringing in more supernatural characters along these lines, and I totally expect to see Elsa Bloodmoon showing up.

She is a playable character in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, and Marvel has a knack for including totally unpopular characters in their video games before they add them to the MCU. Marvel Vs Capcom 3 did this with a ton of characters.

And why Elsa Bloodmoon? She's so obscure that there's no way in hell they would add her in a video game if there wasn't something to it.

Could we be looking at a potential group of supernatural characters to take down some big threat like Dracula? (Blade, Werewolf by Night, Elsa Bloodmoon, possibly Hellstrom, Son of Satan)

@CorndogBurglar - @CorndogBurglar - Elsa Bloodstone everyone

If she's introduced to MCU, she's definitely going to be Constantine's badass woman version

This is minor, but I hope we’re getting a more traditional take on Dracula/Vampires as opposed to the weird “Dark Elf” looking thing the comics are doing now.

A PG-rated 'Werewolf By Night'? He 'gums' unsuspecting victims?
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 8/26/2019, 11:19 AM
@Blackballz

I'm guessing they would change his name because its super corny and hokey? A Jack Russel is a breed of dog. I'm sure you've heard of Jack Russell Terriers?

So naming a character that turns into a wolf after a breed of dog is a bit silly.

Having said that, Jack Russel is not his actual real name in the comics. Its like an alias.

@noahthegrand I would love to see TOD, but doesn't Marvel have to get a license from the Estate of Bram Stoker? Am I right or can they use "Dracula"?
GeneralZod
GeneralZod - 8/26/2019, 11:45 AM
@Nomis - Sadly, we don't see panels on a cover anymore because covers are all about drawing something dramatic and splashy (to maximize original art sale value) instead of telling a story. Hence, word balloons on covers are also gone. I love panels on a cover. My favorite:
