Marvel Studios just blew the roof off Hall H by announcing its first Phase 6 movies. Confirming that we're now in the midst of "The Multiverse Saga," it was revealed that this wave of storytelling will begin on November 8, 2024 with Fantastic Four. That was originally set to be helmed by Spider-Man: No Way Home's Jon Watts, but doesn't have a director that we know of (yet).
We don't know which movies and TV shows will follow that long-awaited reboot, but Kevin Feige did confirm that we're getting two Avengers movies the following year. The first, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty arrives on May 2, 2025 before Phase 6 concludes with Avengers; Secret Wars on November 7, 2025.
There was no mention of a director, though we have to believe the Russo Brothers will return to helm what we know is a dream project for them in Secret Wars.
"The Infinity Saga" (Phase 1 - 3) spanned eleven years, but with Marvel Studios now telling stories on the big and small screen, "The Multiverse Saga" is clearly going to be a little shorter...though with vastly more movies and TV shows! Clearly, Kang the Conqueror is bringing all-out war to the MCU, and that will culminate in the biggest Marvel event movie yet: Secret Wars.
If that follows Jonathan Hickman's version of the story rather than the original, expect the MCU to be rebooted once all is said and done. That would certainly help explain the arrival of the X-Men and could even lead to some fan-favourite characters being recast. We're expecting a mixture of both stories with a lot of original elements thrown in.
Regardless, the next few years look set to be absolutely epic, and you can check out the Phase 6 title cards below:
