Marvel HQ debuted the first clip from Disney Channel's upcoming animated series, Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, last night to kick off San Diego Comic-Con, along with a run-down of the show's impressive list of guest stars.

Joining main voice cast Diamond White (Lunella/Moon Girl); Alfre Woodard (Mimi, Lunella's grandmother); Libe Barer (Casey, Lunella's best friend and manager); Sasheer Zamata (Adria, Lunella's mom); Jermaine Fowler (James Jr., Lunella's dad); Gary Anthony Williams (Pops, Lunella's grandfather); and Laurence Fishburne (The Beyonder), will be:

Alison Brie (Community, GLOW), Andy Cohen (Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen), Daveed Diggs (Broadway's Hamilton), Maya Hawke (Stranger Things), Jennifer Hudson (Respect), Cliff "Method Man" Smith (Power Book II: Ghost), Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother, The Avengers) and Wesley Snipes (Blade).

Details on most of their characters are still under wraps, but we do know that Smulders will reprise the role of Maria Hill!

Check out the clip, which sees Lunella, her far-too-friendly T-Rex and Casey attempt to stop a couple of crooks, below along with a new poster.

Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur follows 13-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette (aka Moon Girl) and her 10-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur, as they protect New York City's Lower East Side from danger. Based on Marvel's hit comic books, the highly-anticipated Disney Branded Television animated series is slated to premiere in 2023 on Disney Channel and Disney+.

Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur was created by Laurence Fishburne and Helen Sugland. No official premiere date was announced, but the show is expected to debut on the Disney Channel sometime next year.

Seems like harmless fun for little kids. I know nothing about these characters, so I can't really act like I have strong feelings one way or another.

I have to wonder if somewhere in Kevin Feige's head there are actually plans for these characters. They've already brought to life a tree and a raccoon so a dinosaur should be a piece of cake.
