The Cosmic Circus has shared a few more intriguing tidbits about the MCU's future, starting with the Vision series coming to Disney+ next year. The cast has started taking shape in recent weeks, with Marvel Studios' plans for the WandaVision follow-up now becoming clear.
The site's Alex Perez has said that there will be a "small" win for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans in the show, and he names Jocasta as an antagonist in Vision.
On the page, she was introduced as the "Bride of Ultron," so the android will likely be working with him. However, eventually becomes a hero in the comics, so that may be planned for the MCU, too.
This year's Wonder Man series is seemingly setting the stage for the West Coast Avengers to debut, but that's not the only team getting ready to assemble. Perez reiterates that Marvel Studios' Young Avengers project is going to take the form of a TV series—Champions—with Hulkling saved as "one of the pillars of the upcoming cosmic saga."
Aubrey Plaza will return as Death after debuting in Agatha All Along, and Perez has heard that Marvel Studios' supernatural plans are "Very dark, very demonic and something out of a Guillermo Del Toro fever dream."
Much has been said about the Multiverse Saga being followed by the "Mutant Saga," but the scooper has heard that Marvel Studios may be setting its sights on exploring the cosmos.
"Cosmic is the biggest one right now. Then Mutant. Followed by the Supernatural," Perez said of what the next era of MCU storytelling will look like after Avengers: Secret Wars.
Remember, several semi-reliable leakers have said the idea is for Marvel's Mightiest Heroes doing battle with Annihilus and the Annihilation Wave. If so, we'd expect that story to revolve around the Fantastic Four, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Nova.
Back to the comics, Annihilus invaded the Marvel Universe with his Annihilation Wave, an armada comprised of thousands of starships and an army with countless "bugs."
Planet after planet fell as Annihilus set out to acquire the Power Cosmic used by Galactus and his Heralds. His endgame? To destroy all life in both universes.
Eventually, the likes of the Silver Surfer, Star-Lord, Drax, and Nova assembled to stop the villain. It was Richard Rider who saved the day, though, as he shoved his fist down Annihilus' throat and killed him by ripping out the creature's internal organs.
