We're back with another MCU rumour roundup and, should these prove correct, the franchise's uncertain future may have come into focus.
Earlier this month, we shared the news that Hawkeye season 2 may be moving forward, with a story inspired by The Raid. In that, Clint Barton and Kate Bishop will reportedly square off with the Avenger's villainous brother, Barney (a.k.a. Trickshot).
Now, Murphy's Multiverse's has chimed in to reveal that "a second season of Hawkeye does indeed seem to be in development and could end up on Disney Plus much sooner than expected."
With the action set in one location, it's possible Marvel Studios can shoot this pretty quickly, with the show presumably eyeing a 2026 release if this report is anything to go by.
Elsewhere in the site's own rumour roundup, they reiterate plans for Robert Downey Jr. to return as Iron Man in the Multiverse Saga. We've long heard about a Tony Stark Variant factoring into one of both Avengers movies so stay tuned.
There have also been rumblings lately about Madame Web star Sydney Sweeney being eyed to play Spider-Man 4's Black Cat. However, it appears that's not the only role she's discussed with Kevin Feige as @MyTimeToShineH names her as a possible frontrunner to take on the title role in Scarlett Johannson's Blonde Phantom TV series coming to Disney+.
She may have to compete with singer Taylor Swift, though.
Next, we move to the supernatural side of the MCU; according to Daniel Richtman, the hunt is said to be on for a male actor to play a new villain who has been added to Blade's latest screenplay. Lilith will still take centre stage and we're hearing this mystery baddie is Dracula.
@MyTimeToShineH has also chimed in to say Blade's budget will be $50 million - $70 million with an R-Rating, a darker tone, and little to no comedy.
Our final rumour comes from a less reliable source but still makes for interesting reading. Apparently, Moon Knight season 2 is in the works and will have more than 6 episodes. Jake Lockley is going to be the main personality portrayed by Oscar Isaac and the likes of Mephisto and a Kang Variant (presumably Rama-Tut) will factor into the story.
We aren't buying this one, though have heard similar chatter about a possible second season of Moon Knight setting the stage for Midnight Suns.
As always, let us know your thoughts on these rumours in the comments section below.
