POLL: Which 2024 Marvel Studios, DC, Or Sony Pictures Movie Are You Most Excited About?

Due to the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, there's an awful lot of uncertainty in Hollywood right now.

Some 2023 movies have already been delayed, while we're expecting at least a few 2024 titles to eventually slip down the calendar if studios don't finally do the right thing. However, as things stand, we have 7 Marvel and DC movies to look forward to next year.

2024 will kick off with Sony Pictures' Madame Web on February 12, with Marvel Studios launching the summer box office season on May 3 with Deadpool 3. Next up is Venom 3 on July 12, with Captain America: Brave New World right behind it on July 26.

Wrapping up the summer, we'll have Kraven the Hunter on August 30, while the only DC movie heading our way in 2024 is Joker: Folie à Deux on October 4.

There is an untitled Sony/Marvel movie still scheduled for November 8, though we don't actually anticipate it being released (it was likely El Muerto, a project which has likely been scrapped).

Then, the year is expected to wrap up with Thunderbolts on December 20, the first time since Spider-Man: No Way Home we've seen Marvel Studios release a blockbuster over the Christmas period.

Oh, and if you're wondering where Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is, that was recently moved from next March to "TBD," meaning it no longer has a confirmed release date (news which, unfortunately, didn't come as a huge surprise).

We have a lot to look forward to next year, anyway, and it's time for you, ComicBookMovie.com's readers, to cast your votes and choose 2024's most highly anticipated Marvel/DC comic book movie...

50/50 chance half these movies get pushed back into 2025.

@Se4M4NSt4ine -

Already wrapped shooting:
-Kraven (mid june 2023)
-Joker (april 2023)
-Madame Web (end of 2022)

Already shot a good chunk of it:
-Captain America (3months of shooting done but more shooting to do in Washington DC)

Barely started shooting :
-Deadpool (started may 22nd 2023)
-Venom (supposed to start from june 26th 2023 until end of september)
-Thunderbolts (supposed to start last june)

Kraven, Joker and Madame Web will come out in 2024.

Deadpool, Captain America and Venom could still come out before the end of 2024. I expect at least one of those will be pushed to early 2025

Thunderbolts will be pushed back to 2025

@Usernametaken - you do realise even tho they’ve finished shooting on these films, the marketing teams, the editors, the directors - everyone mainly involved - even reshoots have been halted? Regardless if anything’s wrapped on set shooting already, everyone in Hollywood has stopped working.

That’s a back log of months work needing done in set by date to be released next year.

@Se4M4NSt4ine - The strike is only for the actors and writers.

All other jobs in the industry can still work. Editors, VFX artists, composers, sound designers, directors, producers, set designers, cinematographers etc etc.

As long as they don't need actors or writers in the current stage of production they're in, the project is moving on.

@Usernametaken - They should push The Thunderbolts to 2025. Plus, Thunderbolts doesn't have that vibe to release in a Holiday time.

@TheShellyMan - yeah, No chance of this one coming out in 2024.

And it's a domino effect, if movies coming out mid 2024 are pushed back to end of 2024, then studios will need to make space. Thunderbolts will be the first one gone.

Would’ve been Spider-Verse, but now

Can't wait for Joker and Deadpool, it was a hard choice, but I loved the social commentary behind the first Joker.

And I still have doubts that Disney isn't going to Disney Deadpool.

@AllsGood - The directors and writers attached to this and the Falcon & the winter soldier show makes me have zero hype for this.

But I hope I'm wrong.

@DrReedRichards - Still feel like it kind of used too much aura flares and too much exposition and didn't focus enough on Gear 5 but holy crap I need more. Full on Hanna Barbara. Kaido's eyes popping out had me rolling. Also liked Chili Beans song was catchy, but I could have sworn there was also going to be a new intro. Next week's episode is going to be wild.

Oh ... right, capeshit.

I voted for Kraven because messing with the results is more fun than any poll.
