bigshow2312’s CBM sanitation: Women in the media (Vid) - what could that mean for females in CBMovies (vote)?

I came across a video showing the image of womenfolk in the media. I want to know what you users think and how this vid is relatable or not to women in CBMovies.

This vid is pretty deep in message, which could ((to each their own)) be the exact description on how women are considered “exploited” by the media. Females are depicted as curvy slim models rather than intellectuals which are also recognizable in the CBM world… just think about the many complaints of Amy Adams portraying Lois Lane or the daily “CBM Hotties” post we see on main. Not to mention the exaggeration of the physic of such iconic Heroines like Wonder Woman (breast). Some would argue that the “exploitation” is the woman’s doing, for accepting these stereotypes of the kind. No one told Jessica Alba or Halle Berry that they had to wear the tight spandex.

Lol

*facepalm*

Wow

But you guys dont think its hypocritical or unfair that the women dont have any male superhero eye candy (so to speak), that are exploited in such assets? Then if they did, we would consider the character gay or homo, right?

@teabag

So you believe that both sides are exploited, not just females?

I'm with tea on this, there's absolutely no problem/issue to be discussed here.

There's no real negative exploitation, just good ol'fashion visual entertainment (what keeps the human race going).

All feminists and oppressive men are just as bad as each other, will you all please keep moving along!

Also bigshow2312 your comment on there being no eye candy for girls is absolutely ridiculous, if anything comics/cbms are softcore porn for girls and gays!

@Tea
lol
Watch the video- not all women like to be seen as such- they complain because in the aftermath, their kind is the group being raped by ours- not in reverse- all those CBcharacters made as hookers arent the victims (Halle Berry can afford security).
Their group are the ones that give birth to us the males.
See my point?

@MARV3L
Show me a mainstream comic that is exploited of the male's physic

Nah, I guess we'll give you a badge and a gun to help save the world lol
I dont know about where you live, but actually down where I'm from, women do like to be viewed as such. Just because sex sells doesnt mean that it's everything, see? The minority of women should be respected and shouldnt have to sell their souls just to be paid. I mean, just look at Hilary Clinton or Oprah. These women defied your theory of "sex sells", did they not? Oprah has her own TV network and I havent seen that sort of action from any video vixen, have you?

I agree that since most female comic book characters are drawn by males for males there is a tendancy for the over-exaggeration of certain features.
What I don't get is anyone who wants a certain actress/model to play a particular comicbook character, and when you get what you want, you only complain how badly the person acts and how they were miscast etc.
And true enough men are also exploited in the media and movies but to a much lesser degree than women.

And Tea watches Sex and the City. Frankly I am a bit amused ;)

And the men in comic books DON'T look exaggerated? I don't know too many guys who are built like Bruce Wayne or Supes. Speaking as an artist myself, comic art is all about exaggeration. That's what makes it visually interesting.
