Well, it seems as though the Powerpuff Girls aren't the only classic cartoon heroes who will be getting some reboot love. The BBC announced today that whereever there is danger, eighties icon DANGER MOUSE will once again be there. The English mouse turned superspy will be returning to television for fifty-two episodes worth of heroics on CBBC in 2015.
'Danger Mouse is the last word in debonair and delightfully eccentric heroics,' said CBBC controller Cheryl Taylor, 'CBBC is thrilled to be kick-starting their adventures afresh.'
With an impressive run of more than ten years from 1981 to 1992, the beloved original show featured the eponymous Danger Mouse, voiced by actor David Jason, and his trusty sidekick Penfold, traveling the world to thwart evil schemes and tear down tropes of British spy fiction.
There is no word yet on returning voice actors or international broadcast. Regardless, between this and Bananaman, British heroes are surely on the rise. Be sure to leave your excited outbursts in the comments below.
