A couple of months ago, I confirmed Kevin Smith was working on Clerks 3 well I downloaded his latest podcast and to my surprise the man who created my childhood would have a part in the new movie, and no it's not Paul Dini.. But It's been confirmed that Stan "The Man" Lee will have a role in Clerks 3 .

Now Stan is no starnger to Kevin Smith films, he is referenced in nearly every single film. Stan made one of the most touching cameos ever in a film in 1995's Mallrats Directed by Smith himself, have a look:

Now with Stan being announced to be in the new film does this have your Spidey-Senses tingling or are you dead inside? Comment below and let me know!

This is a pretty misleading title. I listened to the podcast, too. He mentions he wrote a part for Stan. He didn't confirm that Stan would actually be in it, or take it. Stan was surprised to hear the information, himself.

Of course, I'm sure Stan would oblige.. assuming he's alive and kicking by the time the movie gets made (which won't be for a long, long time.) He mentioned in the podcast, that he was about half way done the script. He's still got to get everyone else to sign on (Jeff Anderson is hesitant), get funding, distribution, all that shit.

@DarthJericho

I don't think he's overrated...he was never "rated" that high...SMITH just has a cult following, but he has never been regarded as an "A-Lister" by the industry...

...as for your statement, "...has had like 2 good movies, and maybe 1 ok one.", I couldn't disagree more:

Classics:
Clerks.
Dogma
Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back

Good:
Mallrats
Chasing Amy
Zack & Miri Make a Porno

Okay:
Clerks II
Red State

Bad:
Jersey Girl
Cop Out

@kevberg

That was extremely well said bro...that scene didn't keep me from enjoying the movie, but you summed it up perfectly.
