Production is now underway on Doug Liman's adaptation of Patrick Ness' best-selling dystopian novel, Chaos Walking, and we have our first official glimpse of the movie courtesy of the behind-the-scenes image below.

The still features Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming) and a blonde Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) as protagonists Todd Hewitt and Viola Eade, who must traverse a dangerous world in which all living creatures can hear each other's thoughts in a stream of images, words, and sounds called Noise.

With a script from Charlie Kaufman (Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind) and Jamie Linden (Money Monster), Chaos Walking is set for release on March 1, 2019.

...Tom Holland should just spend the rest of his life making Spider-Man movies.

If you've got time for this nonsense, you've got time for Spider-Man, Tom.

@Spock0Clock - Why, waste of a good actor playing the same character over and over again.

@SeriousCipher - I think she's alright. It gives Peter someone to talk to for a movie where we really could use it. But I'd be happy if she was phased out after this, with a less tech-heavy suit in the sequel.

What makes grown up Peter grow up more is the isolation he feels. I'm sure you could write Karen around that (and Connelly is always a pleasant presence), but it's time for Spidey to do a bit of brooding. (Not too much, we don't want to go the whole Garfield.)

@Spock0Clock - I seriously hope she becomes either Jocasta or repleces Friday. Because some of the moments felt like peter was talking to her mother. Which was weirdly sweet for me. On top of that, her and peter were actually entertaining, which is causing a rift for me, because i want no ai, but i like her.

Unless plot twist: Karen is mj.

Two of the best young actors in Hollywood right now. I know nothing of this movie but I will see it just for the fact that these two are in it.
