We had told you to expect this soon, but we didn't realize it'd be this soon! Not long after the official synopsis for Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner 2049 was released, the first teaser trailer for the sci-fi sequel has debuted online.

In it, we see Ryan Gosling's K making his way through a building that should be very familiar to fans of Ridley Scott's original, where he then encounters Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford).

Everything here from the imagery to the music evokes the iconic '80s classic - but will it be enough to quell the backlash from those that believe the movie shouldn't be touched? Have a look, and let us know what you think in the usual place.

Blade Runner 2049 also stars Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Lennie James, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto, and is set for release on October 6, 2017.
