We've seen literally just seconds of footage from Godzilla vs. Kong, and after the movie's release date was moved from Memorial Day weekend to this March, fans couldn't help but ask why a trailer hasn't been released. Thankfully, that now looks set to change, as Legendary Pictures just dropped an awesome teaser poster and confirmation that the trailer drops on Sunday.

As you can see, Godzilla emerges from the sea, while Kong - who has grown an awful lot since we last saw him - stands in a city, clearly ready for the fight that's about to ensue.

If what little we've seen from Godzilla vs. Kong is any indication, it's going to be an epic clash, and one fans have been waiting a long time to see with modern visual effects. Adam Wingard (The Guest) is in the director's chair, and he's previously teased that there will be a definitive winner in the movie.

That begs one very simple question: whose side are you on?

Whatever your answer is, it's fair to say this trailer will be a must-watch, especially as it should give us an idea of what to expect from the crossover event before it arrives in theaters (?) and on HBO Max.

@MosquitoFarmer

AFC and NFC Championship football games. Chiefs vs. The Bills and the Tom Brady vs. Aaron Rodgers. Should be epic.

@regularmovieguy - and don't get me wrong, I love KC, but I usually want someone new to win SB if my teams are not involved and Bills have not won even once. I don't count the AFL wins and they lost 4 super bowls.

As excited as I am to see this, I realize that it's going to struggle at the box office. But who knows? This could be the movie to reinvigorate the theater industry but I doubt it.

Hopefully Legendary will have their day in court and Dune becomes a theater exclusive. No way in hell I'm watching that at home.

I feel like Kong should still be smaller since he already has an advantage of being a giant fking gorilla!

What has Kong been feeding on? This series has great trailers, so I’m sure it will be a good one.

Godzilla took an Oxygen Destructor to the face and lived to tell the tale, Kong has nothing on him.

KotM is a very dumb movie, but I really enjoy it.
