OBI-WAN KENOBI EW Cover And Stills Spotlight Reva The Inquisitor, Uncle Owen, And More

No trailer today (though it is imminent), but we do have a first look at some official promo stills and EW's cover for Obi-Wan Kenobi, which is set to premiere on Disney+ this May.

There was speculation that we might see the first trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi today, and while it is said to be imminent (it might even debut later tonight during Disney's shareholder meeting), we'll have to make do with some first-look stills and EW's final print cover featuring Ewan McGregor as the legendary Jedi Master!

The images feature Kenobi in several locations on - and off - Tatooine, the returning Joel Edgerton as Luke Skywalker's "Uncle" Owen Lars, and Moses Ingram as Reva, the first ever live-action Inquisitor. The Queen's Gambit star's character is described as "a formidable new foe who seeks out Jedi-in-hiding for the Empire."

We also have confirmation that Obi-Wan will leave Tatooine, as one of the stills shows the exiled force-wielder on a new planet known as Daiyu. " [It] sort of has a Hong Kong feel to it," says writer Joby Harold. "It's got a graffiti-ridden nightlife, and is kind of edgy. It's just got a different lane and a different feeling."

Check out the cover and some stills below, and head on over to SFFGazette.com to see the rest.

Specific plot details are under wraps, but we do know that Obi-Wan will be set between the events of Revenge Of The Sith and A New Hope. There are also rumors that younger versions of both Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa will appear, but that's yet to be confirmed.

McGregor and Hayden Christensen (Darth Vader) will be joined by Moses Ingram, Indira Varma, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.

The Mandalorian director Deborah Chow is set to helm all episodes of the series, with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy on board as producer along-with Chow, Jason D. McGatlin (The Rise of Skywalker), Tracey Seaward (The Queen), and John Swartz (Rogue One).

Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres on Disney+ on May 25th.

@UniqNo - Technically it's prequel. Or a midquel. Butit's definitely not a sequel.

@Drace24 - "Inbetweenquel", But to me it's the 'true follow up' to Revenge of the Sith. Story wise it comes after the prequels and finally getting some depth to Vader's character.

Can’t wait! Once you learn their backstories the Inquisitors are really dark villains.

@MrDandy - Second Sister was great in Fallen Order.

@SonOfAGif - wish they had just brought the same actress in and have the Second Sister be the main antagonist. She was great in Fallen Order

@globaltravels - Based on her history in Fallen Order it made sense for her to strictly be tied to Kal and his crew. I loved her as a character a lot but her vengeance and her rage was against Cere.

Don't care.

2 seasons of The Mandalorian is enough for me.

Star Wars isn't for me.

I'm looking forward to it. The Book of Boba Fett was meh for the most, I hope this show makes up for that, I'm sure it will.
