We're just days away from
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and, yes, the hype for the movie is definitely building! We should have reactions and reviews for you soon, but for now, a new Chinese poster has been released which shows the climactic battle between Rey and Kylo Ren as the Emperor's Star Destroyers loom overhead (they could be First Order, but are likely the Empire's based on the trailers).
It's an impressive piece of imagery, and while it's probably not indicative of what we'll see in the film itself, seeing these two come to blows promises to make for a truly epic lightsaber battle!
The
Star Wars franchise has never performed particularly well in the Middle Kingdom, but tracking is looking good for
The Rise of Skywalker so the fact that this is a grand finale likely isn't lost on that audience. It will definitely be interesting keeping an eye on how the movie performs at the box office, as there's been so much talk of franchise fatigue and
The Last Jedi "killing" interest in the series.
