STAR WARS: The Shocking Secret Of Darth Vader's Castle On Mustafar Has Been Revealed

In Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, we paid our first visit to Darth Vader's castle on Mustafar and now a new comic book has shed some light on what led to the Sith Lord constructing his home there...

Everything needs a backstory these days but the truth behind Darth Vader's castle on Mustafar could end up having major ramifications for Star Wars Episode IX. We first visited the Sith Lord's home in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story but Charles Soule and Giuseppe Camuncoli's Darth Vader #22 reveals that he's hoping to use it to reunite with his dead wife, Padme Amidala.

On the advice of a mysterious Sith artist called Momin, Vader is hoping to tap into the locus at the planet's core so he can tap into ancient powers which will help the villain pierce the veil of death and communicate with the woman he murdered in anger and the mother of Luke and Leia Skywalker.

The comic also confirms that there's a very good reason Vader's castle looks like a tuning fork; it's because it is! The Emperor appears to be aware of his apprentice's plan so whether or not he's being manipulated is hard to say. However, if Vader does manage to reach Padme, what if Kylo Ren ends up visiting there in order to speak with his grandfather or even Supreme Leader Snoke?

There have been rumours that we'll see Ren visit Mustafar in Episode IX so we'll just have to wait and see but there has to be at least a slim chance that these comics shed some light on what comes next!

@Fogs - I thought those nurse robots said something like it was from a "broken heart" or some crap like that.

@HeavyKevy - He was being senistive.

Vader actually crushed her windpipe a little causing her to breath badly during birth, thus killing her.

@HeavyKevy - I'm kidding.

@LawyerCipher - That's not what happened though. The droid said she was medically healthy. Nothing about a windpipe.

@Nightwing1015 - That's why i said i'm kidding. Although to be honest, i'm gonna go with the droid was an idiot and she died of broken breathing rather than "A broken heart"

"A broken heart"

Slightly off-topic: but Mark Hamill posted something on instagram about how the force killed luke after using it for a long time again. He compared it to an addict finally remained clear for decades, only to die of overdose after using it one time again. I thought this was tragically funny

@MalseMarcel - i just don't see that Luke would be any kind of addict to the force... after throwing away his light saber in front of the emperor after defeating his father... his will is too strong to become an addict IMO. i did like his force ghost projection while living again Kylo... very hard thing to do... shows great power... but fading off afterward was a let down. Should have been more of a zen master moment like Flynn knocking on the sky in Tron Legacy... tapping into stuff and making it happen and then a meaningful handoff to the new kid on the block (if he really needed to go).

@JonC - Flynn's conclusion was epic!

@JonC - Agreed. And know that I appreciate it that you use Tron: Legacy as the example. I don't care what others think, but I love that movie
