BOX OFFICE: CARRIE Fails To Take The Top Spot On Friday As GRAVITY Continues To Dominate

Deadline have some early numbers for this week at the North American box office, and it appears as if Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity will take the top spot for the third straight weekend in a row. Despite facing stiff competition form big new releases like Carrie and Escape Plan, the movie - which stars George Clooney and Sandra Bullock - took $8.8 million on Friday and looks set for a $29.3 million weekend (giving it a total of $168.9 million). Unfortunately, the remake of Carrie has fallen flat with a 'B-' CinemaScore and a $7 million Friday for a projected weekend total of between $17 million - $19 million. However, with a budget of only $30 million, the R-Rated horror flick could still prove to be a success when it opens overseas. What are you guys seeing this weekend?
