Mr Evans sure loves his Sci-fi, and why wouldn't he. This time the CBM favorite is lined up to star in Korean director Bong Joon-ho's Snow Piercer. You may have seen his awesome horror/comedy The Host a few years back, and if you haven't you really should. Anyway, Joon-ho co wrote the script, loosely based on a French graphic novel called Le Transperceneige, with another great Korean director Park Chan-Wook (Oldboy, Lady Vengeance).

Here are some brief story details from Variety..

Set in a world covered in snow and ice, the story follows a train full of travelers who struggle to co-exist.

Chan-wook is producing through Moho Films. Production is expected to start in March, though no distribution is yet in place.

As he should. I enjoyed him in Sunshine, if I remember correctly. Speaking of Sunshine...

I need more Cillian Murphy on my screen. Where the hell did he go?

Is it just me, or does the bald lady look like Scarlet Johansson without hair?

Evans is on fire right now in Hollywood. hope it doesnt go to his head and he starts taking roles for the paycheck, oops too late! lol.
@EmpressSkeith-I think his best acting gig was in Sunshine and Street Kings were he had a supporting role. He was really good in those flicks. Sunshine could have been a CBM now that I think about it!

Bong Joon-ho AND Park Chan-Wook wrote a script together? And it will have beefcake Chris Evans in it!?!

This is destined for greatness. I haven't read Le Transperceneige but this MUST be an action packed movie, with an epic creature, and a really bizarre twist at the end which will haunt you for the rest of your movie watching days.

Or at least one can hope.

Sounds interesting, The Host was a pretty good film, so I'm intrigued to see this especially since Park Chan-Wook co-wrote it.

Chris Evans LOVES comic book movies!! Is it just me or are these movies getting a bit saturated. It seems like the same handful of actors are in every other one. Evans is in maybe the most. Would be nice to see some other actors have a go. Anyway....Evans *was* stellar in Captain America. I like him in everything I've seen him in...so i'll give it a shot.

@sarahsatire

Hopefully they drop the twist (looking at you, Oldboy) and this is almost guaranteed to make it into my top 10 movies.

Great, now I'm going to have to catch up on more Euro comics.
