Wired has dubbed the seven-page, Interstellar prequel comic book from director Christopher Nolan and award-winning comic book artist Sean Gordon Murphy, The Lost Interstellar Chapter. It's a fitting title. Check out what happened to "the best" of The Lazarus Project's space explorers below.

The adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage. Directed and co-written by Christopher Nolan (“Inception,” “The Dark Knight” Trilogy), a script based on the combination of an original idea by Nolan and an existing script by Jonathan Nolan. The cast includes: Matthew McConaughey (“Magic Mike”), Anne Hathaway (“Les Miserables”), Jessica Chastain (“Zero Dark Thirty”), Bill Irwin (“Rachel Getting Married”), John Lithgow (“Rise of the Planet of the Apes”), Casey Affleck (“Gone Baby Gone”), David Gyasi (“Cloud Atlas”), Wes Bentley (“The Hunger Games”), Mackenzie Foy (“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Parts 1 and 2”) Timothée Chalamet (TV’s “Homeland”), Topher Grace (“Spider-Man 3”), David Oyelowo (“Jack Reacher”), Ellen Burstyn (“The Exorcist”), and Michael Caine (“The Cider House Rules”.The film will be released in IMAX® and 35mm theaters on November 7, 2014.

@Nubase - I don't hink he ever said he liked comics. He said he loved Superman: The Movie as a kid and it is what made him want to direct, he also said Spider-Man was his favorite superhero, but I don't think he ever said he grew up reading comics....especially not TDKReturns.

DC sent him a bunch of books and the Miller books are what stuck out to him most and what he used to direct the TDK trilogy, not his love of comics as a kid.

Was INTERSTELLAR any good? I'm not much one for Sci-Fi in general. I do like Nolan's films though. Is it worth a try?

It was amazing!!!!!! The storyline, visuals, and score was off the charts. And yes the movie is far from perfect but it needs to be seen on the big screen!

Nolan and comic superheroes don't mix, that said, there is no reason a comic he wrote would be bad if it didnt have superheroes he can take drop a big sloppy stink pickle on, oh except that every other Nolan movie sucks. Psuedo intellectual hyper convoluted sophomoric emo art film project bollocks. Sod off Nolan.

@MercwithMouth It depends. It's definitely a movie that appeals to hardcore sci-fi fans but at the same time, it's also pretty philosophical and abstract throughout the whole film...especially when it gets to the 3rd act. It's a weird balance, and it's a bit jarring at times, but I think it works for the most part.

You might love it, you might hate it, and there's lots of valid reasons to back your position up either way...but it's definitely worth a watch! I saw it in real IMAX, and the visuals alone make it a must-see.
