CHRONICLE: Awesome Behind-The-Scenes Video Of The Flying Shots

If you were wondering how Josh Trank and co managed to create such realistic flight scenes in Chronicle, wonder no longer. It's a brief behind-the-scenes glimpse, but a pretty great one..

For such a relatively low budget movie, Josh Trank and his special effects team managed to pull off some pretty spectacular looking stuff, in particular the scene in which the four friends realize they can fly and take to the skies. This vid gives us an idea of how those shots were achieved..

Three high school friends gain the superhuman abilities of telekinesis, flight, and invulnerability after making an incredible discovery in a mysterious crater. Soon, though, they find their lives spinning out of control and their bond tested as one of them, Andrew Detmer, embraces his darker side.

Like I said, it's far too brief. But expect more of the same when the movie is released on DVD and Blu-ray in May.

@Nailbiter111 I agree totally. Thought the previews were good but the movie blew me away. And I said the same thing in regards to Superman. If Snyder and co don't take the flying to new heights, it'd be a shame

Pfff the effects are overrated, I for one hope this is not what the new Superman flying sequences are like. Superman Returns had much better flying sequences than this film, even the Harry Potter films have better flying sequences. Don't get me wrong I applaud what they achieved in this film for such a small budget, but seriously they flying sequences in places let the illusion down some what.
