DEBUNKED: First Look At Tilda Swinton In SNOWPIERCER

The Filmstage have got hold of a snap of a bald, very oddly attired Tilda Swinton from Bong Joon-ho's post-apocalyptic drama, Snowpiercer. We had expected this adaptation of French graphic novel Le Transperceneige to be set entirely on the train, but that doesn't seem to be the case..

What do you think? I think she looks a bit like an original series Star Trek villain, but I'm certainly a bit more intrigued about the movie now anyway.

UPDATE: Turns out this isn't from the movie at all, and just a magazine shoot that Miss Swinton took part in.

Snowpiercer is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews.

Snowpiercer stars Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, Alison Pill, John Hurt, Ed Harris, Octavia Spencer and Song Kang-ho, and is set for release sometime this Summer.

Definitely reminds me of Aang. With that pose, it's like a female Aang pretending to be C-3PO.

"Le Transperceneige" is a true Sci-Fi classic, mostly unknown in the US.
A good movie adaptation could be a hit.
Time to find a copy and read it again (last time was 25 years ago).
