The cover to an upcoming Dune book (which is, presumably, just Frank Herbert's original novel) has been shared online, giving is a new look at the main characters of Denis Villeneuve's highly-anticipated adaptation.
The cover features Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Zendaya as Chani, Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Oscar Isaac as Duke Leto Atreides, Stellan Skarsgård as Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, and Javier Bardem as Stilgar.
This looks like it could be released as an official poster for the film, but as far as we know, the image is only being used for tie-in promotional materials. Check out the cover below along with the recent trailer.
We found out that the sci-fi adaptation had been pushed back from October 1 to October 22 last month. The movie is still set to debut simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max, and we recently got confirmation that it will have its out-of-competition world premiere on Friday, September 3 at the Toronto International Film Festival.
For those unfamiliar with the source material, Dune follows the Atreides family as they relocate to the desolate planet of Arrakis to assume control of the production of the most valuable resource in the galaxy, the Spice Melange. Unfortunately, an act of treachery soon makes an outcast of The Duke Atreides' youngest son Paul, and he must accept his destiny as a powerful prophet of the Arrakis natives known as The Fremen.
