It was a tough night for some fan-favorite sci-fi and comic book films at the 34th annual Producers Guild of America awards. The 34th PGA ceremony took place last night at the Beverly Hilton where the likes of Andor, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Love, Death + Robots were on the nominee list.
But the wins were few and far between for some of CBM's favorite 2022 titles as the biggest genre winner was Everything Everywhere All At Once, which continues to gather steam heading into this year's Oscars. The previous 2 PGA winners, CODA and Nomadland, also went on to win Best Picture at the Oscars.
In addition to the nominees and award winners listed below, Tom Cruise was honored with the David O. Selznick Achievement Award, and the motion picture Till, received the Stanley Kramer Award. Michael De Luca and Pam Abby were also honored with the Milestone Achievement award.
The Producers Guild of America awards were first established in 1990, originally as the Golden Laurel Awards. The ceremony honors the producers behind the year's best motion picture and television productions.
