FRINGE May Be Renewed For A Fifth Season; TERRA NOVA Cancellation May Have Cleaned The Path

Apparently the recent cancellation of Fox' Terra Nova may have cleaned the path for a possible fifth season for Fringe, which had an uncertain future. More after the jump.

Everyone remembers how on season three Fringe ratings started getting low and had Fox losing the hope on the show, moving it to the killer fridays. A fourth season was confirmed, the season had twenty two episodes ordered, but the ratings weren't any higher during it, at least nothing to make Fox happy enough. But apparently the Twitter campaigns which the fans have being moving forward are drawing the network's attention. Coincidence or not, the always reliable Tv Line had Fringe status updated from "Could go either way" to "A safe bet" in the exact same day that Terra Nova, also from Fox, has been canceled.

We're not sure if Fox is actually considering this, so take this information with a grain of salt and wait for an official announcement from the network.

Fringe will be returning with "A Short Story About Love" on March 23rd, at FOX!
