Gary Whitta To Pen Adaptation Of Mark Millar's STARLIGHT For Fox
Gary Whitta, who will write the first Star Wars spin-off movie for director Gareth Edwards, has also been recruited to work on Fox's big-screen adaptation of Mark Millar's sci-fi adventure comic series, Starlight. More past the jump..
After nabbing one of the hottest writing gigs going with Gareth Edwards' standalone Star Wars flick (still no confirmation of which character it'll focus on), Gary Whitta will also pen the script for Fox's take on Image Comics' Starlight, which is written by Mark Millar. The comic -- which deals with the adventures of ageing space-hero Duke McQueen, who agrees to take on one last mission to save the Earth -- is a relatively new title, with the first issue only hitting shelves back in March. Simon Kinberg (X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past) will produce along with Millar. Have you guys been following this one? Is it a good premise for a movie? Sound off below.
