We had been led to believe that the new Godzilla: King of the Monsters trailer was not going to be released this week after all, but the sequel's director has now confirmed that it's still on track and will screen this Sunday at Brazil Comic Con.

We're not certain that it will be released online after that, but based on Mike Dougherty's Tweet, it seems like a safe enough bet.

The first trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters is still widely regarded as the the best we've seen so far this year, so it's fair to say this second look at the big fella's next round comes with some lofty expectations.

Tell us, what do you hope to see from trailer #2? Getting a look at Mothra, Ghidorah and Rodan in action has gotta top the list!

Following the global success of “Godzilla” and “Kong: Skull Island” comes the next chapter in Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ cinematic MonsterVerse, an epic action adventure that pits Godzilla against some of the most popular monsters in pop culture history. The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Starring Zhang Ziyi, Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Bradley Whitford, Ken Watanabe, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance and Aisha Hinds, Godzilla: King of the Monsters stomps into theaters May 31, 2019.
