Recently, while speaking with Crave Online, Corey Hawkins, the star of Straight Outta Compton spoke a little about Legendary's Kong: Skull Island and promised that the film is "different from anything" we've ever seen, and that it's going to be "a wild, wild ride." Aside from that Corey spoke on the awesome cast, and the love he has for his character in the film. Check out Hawkins' full thoughts, then share your feedback in the comment section below!

"[Laughs.] I can’t! I can’t say anything about that. I mean, I will say that it’s different from anything you’ve seen, and it’s such a good cast. It’s such an unbelievably good cast! I mean, when you think about it… Sam Jackson, John C. Reilly, John Goodman, Brie Larson, Tom Hiddleston, Jason Mitchell, Jon Ortiz, it just goes on and on and on.

All I’ll say is that this movie is going to be something that I think a lot of people… it’s going to be special. It’s just going to be special and it’s going to be fun. It’s going to be exciting. It’s going to take you back to sort of old filmmaking era, you know? That’s what it feels like making this movie. I mean we’re shooting at all these different locations. We’re stealing a little shooting right now. It’s going to be a wild, wild ride, and I love my character. I love my character."

I have no idea how these non-comic universes are going to hold up against DCEU and MCU.

That Universal Monster Universe (LOL) will be the first casualty I guess.

I liked his Dre, even though the film whitewashed his many blemishes.

I have no faith in that Tupac film. Seems to be a cash-grab film riding off the coattails of Compton, might just a standard wikipedia biopic. Hope I'm wrong though.

Oh noooooo, they've been working very hard on the accuracy of the story and more man. This biopic has been in development since like what? 2009? The just kept having issues with the rights to his music, his mother being an executive producer, fallout drama with directors and so much more.

The video game based on the peter Jackson version was 100 times better than the movie.

They have a group of explorers going to investigate the island, and a blonde actress playing the token female. I would like to know how that's different to anything they've done before.

I have a bad feeling about this. The script for this movie is being thrown together by at least five different writers. And the only information available online are repeated boasts from Legendary / Warner Bros about how much money they are spending flying the cast to different locations.
