The notion of a home invasion is unsettling enough without adding ferocious aliens to the equation!

Disney/20th Century Studios have debuted the first trailer for a pretty intense looking sci-fi/horror movie, No One Will Save You, which is set to premiere on Hulu later this month.

The upcoming feature stars Kaitlyn Dever (Booksmart) as a young woman named Brynn who wakes up in the depths of night to someone - or in this case, something - breaking in to her house.

“We were so excited to have Kaitlyn join us because—like Brynn being thrust into a whole new world—Kaitlyn had never done a movie so aggressively physical and sci-fi before,” says writer director Brian Duffield. “I think audiences will be blown away by how commanding Kaitlyn is on screen as she uses her solitude and silence to create a truly unique and complex character.”

“I wanted the movie to take the lead of a small intimate character study and drop an alien invasion on top of them,” he continued. “The end of the world won't only be for those that are ready for it, and the idea of an alien movie rudely bursting the bubble our character has spent years building and cultivating felt like a unique way to tell a favorite story.”

As for Brynn's unwanted house guests, Duffield describes them as being "superior to humans in every way."

“I think there's a deeply buried feeling that every alien invasion movie could turn out to be true because they remain such an unknown in our daily lives. As our world careens more and more out of control, maybe there's even a desire that there's something out there smarter than us that can help put us on a more sane path. The aliens in No One Will Save You are superior to humans in every way, which makes Brynn and her surprising resistance somewhat puzzling to them.”

Check out the trailer below, along with a new poster, and let us know what you think.

No One Will Save You is an action-packed face-off between Brynn and a host of extraterrestrial beings who threaten her future while forcing her to deal with her past. Written and directed by Brian Duffield, the film features music by composer Joseph Trapanese. Tim White, Trevor White, Allan Mandelbaum and Duffield produce; Dever and Joshua Throne executive produce.

No One Will Save You begins streaming on Sept. 22, 2023, exclusively on Hulu in the U.S., Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ in all other territories.

@CoHost - Seriously? I didn't even think she was attractive...but they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so good for you. Side note, this movie looks pretty freaky and fun! Not bad for a Hulu original. I love that they went with a serious horror angle on the alien invasion idea.

it says " One One Will Save You". I've never heard of this movie until now, and by the title you had there, I thought that this was maybe another Star Wars spin-off where a droid is the hero. "One One" sounds like a name of a badass droid.

@DarkeyeZ - @markcassidy - Yeah there are a couple typos. In the headline, like you pointed out and in the tag line below the photos "...stars Kaitlyn Dever as a woman who much repel an alien home invasion".

@Fares - trailers will spoil the whole movie, desperate tactics to get people in seats. I like knowing less, which is why I'll watch half of one trailer and that's it lol

I still think they should've cast her as Ellie. She was great in Dopesick (also, Dopesick > Painkiller), and enough prove to me she would've made a great Ellie.

The premise is great, but goddam am I tired of the "fleshy praying mantis" alien/monster design popularized by Cloverfield.

Dever's great in everything she's in, and I'm down for low-scale alien schenanigans. Sign me up.

Definitely gonna check this one out. However are there any movies where aliens are neither a threat to humanity or whimsically and nice but the government still wants to capture them?
