As promised, the first trailer for Edgar Wright's Last Night In Soho is now online, and it looks like we're set to embark on a stylish, atmospheric and creepy journey into the seedier side of London on the '60s.

The psychological horror film follows a young girl (Jojo Rabbit's Thomasin McKenzie) who is somehow able to travel back in time to the 1960s, where she encounters a dazzling wannabe singer (Anya Taylor-Joy). The two seem to share the same experiences (from the one body?), but things soon take a turn for the freaky when the timelines appear to merge.

We're not exactly sure what's going on, but Wright, who penned the screenplay along with Krysty Wilson-Cairns, did explain what inspired the story during a recent interview with Empire.

“There’s something I have in common with the lead character in that I’m afflicted with nostalgia for a decade I didn’t live in,” the director told the mag. “You think about ‘60s London – what would that be like? Imagine if you knew everything you knew now, and went back. I’m taking a premise whereby you have a character who, in a sort of abstract way, gets to travel in time. And the reality of the decade is maybe not what she imagines. It has an element of ‘be careful what you wish for’.”

Check out the trailer below along with a new poster, and let us know what you think.
