If you're talking about the pilot, I saw it at Comic-Con. It's really good. Moves a little too fast for my taste, but nonetheless effective.

I'll probably watch it. I watched the original as a boy, never realizing how bad it was. Perhaps this one will be better. It's got Juliet in it, so I have to at least give it a chance.

I love the original, but I do have to say that they've definitely modernized the concept for the new version. The cast is extremely strong, and the show features modern day storytelling devices. Whatever your feelings about the original, I think it's worth checking it out.

Do they have any of the same characters? Like Mike Donoven or Michael Ironsides character who was the best thing in it!

"your loud and arrogant...you must be the one they call the fixer"......michael ironside was definately the best part of that show.

i will watch this. hope they can keep up the good parts that the pilot seems to have.

diana was hotter though :)

Rorschach, these are all news characters, though you can certainly find some parallels between, say, Erica Evans and Mike Donovan. The producers seem to have taken the position that once the show establishes itself, it would like to bring in people like Jane Badler, Michael Ironside and Marc Singer in some capacity (whether that means guest stars or something more is up for debate).

Gambitfreak, "V" was a massively successful sci-fi miniseries in the 1980s (it was watched by 65 million people) about an alien invasion in which the Visitors claim to be our friends, but are really here to wipe out humanity. Back then it gave birth to a sequel miniseries, a weekly version, a number of novels and comic books. Now it's being remade as a new series for ABC. If interested, you can find out a lot about it over at www.v-theseries.com.

By the way, guys, if this isn't inappropriate, please spread the word about the "V" page over at Earths Mightiest. The easy url is www.v-theseries.com. I think we're building something special there, but the challenge is getting the word out about it.

I'm already closing in on about 100 articles regarding "V" (both old and new) over there, so there's plenty to check out. Thanks!
