New Poster For Neill Blomkamp's CHAPPIE; Trailer Due Tomorrow

We had a couple of glimpses of Sharlto Copley's titular robot in some promo banners a while back, but Sony Pictures have just released the first official one-sheet from District 9 director Neill Blomkamp's upcoming sci-fi flick, giving us out best look at Chappie yet.

After being kidnapped by two criminals during birth, Chappie becomes the adopted son in a strange and dysfunctional family. Chappie is preternaturally gifted, one of a kind, a prodigy. He also happens to be a robot.

Chappie stars Sharlto Copley, Dev Patel, Ninja and Yo-Landi Vi$$er, Jose Pablo Cantillo, with Sigourney Weaver and Hugh Jackman. The script was written by Neill Blomkamp & Terri Tatchell.

In regards to this, not what I expected him to look like, but I guess it makes sense since he's raised by criminals.

I heard Elysium was extremely underwhelming and a big step down from District 9. Hopefully this is as good as if not better than District 9.

As long as it's better than Elysium, I'm down

District 9 is one of my favorite sci-fi movies.

Elysium is one of my least favorite.

I'm hoping this is a return to form.

My ex is best friends with Blomkamp's Assistant director since the Halo days. She ended up going to the Elysium premiere as her 'date' with Damon and everyone.

Lucky. Bitch.

@Doopie BoF first reported that they heard it'll most likely be in front of The Hobbit, and then Forbes reported their sources confirmed it.

Never heard of this

But "chappie" is what I call my junk. And "fappie" is what I call my hand.
And for decades I have enjoyed the adventures of "fappie and chappie"
