Rebel Moon - Part 2: The Scargiver, the second and final(?) part of Justice League and Man of Steel director Zack Snyder's Star Wars and Seven Samurai-inspired sci-fi adventure, is now streaming on Netflix.

If you want to know how the divisive filmmaker concludes (though he has teased sequels) the story, you'll find a breakdown of the action-packed final act below.

Major spoilers follow.

After taking a bit of time to flesh out the main characters and establish their backstories (and indulge in a bit of slow-motion farming), The Scargiver launches into battle mode, and almost the entire last hour of the movie is dedicated to Kora and her allies attempting to prevent the forces of the Imperium from decimating the population of the planet.

The resurrected Admiral Atticus Noble (Ed Skrein) offers Kora (Sofia Boutella) - aka Arthelais, the adopted daughter of the tyrant Balisarius (Fra Fee) - the chance to save the people of Veldt by surrendering and returning to her father. Kora agrees, but Gunnar (Michiel Huisman) fires a shot to signal the attack, and the war begins.

The heroes ultimately manage to repel the ground assault with the help of powerful robot Jimmy (voiced by Anthony Hopkins), but not without a few casualties. Cyborg lightsaber sword master Nemesis (Doona Bae) is killed while defending the children, and Gunnar succumbs to his wounds in Kora's arms after helping her to defeat Noble once and for all.

Yes, the evil Admiral really is dead this time - unless he somehow figures out how to reattach his head to his body!

As for the survivors, it seems their fight is far from over. After the battle, General Titus (Djimon Hounsou) tells Kora that Princess Issa (Stella Grace Fitzgerald) - the messianic child Kora assumed she assassinated years before - is still alive, so we can probably expect a Rebel Moon - Part 3 at some point.

Have you watched The Scargiver yet? If so, what did you think? Drop us a comment down below.

In addition to Skrein, Rebel Moon - Part 2 will see the return of Sofia Boutella as Kora, the titular Scargiver, Michiel Huisman, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, Staz Nair, and Anthony Hopkins as the voice of evolving robot guardian Jimmy. The sequel will also feature Fra Fee, Cleopatra Coleman, Stuart Martin, Ingvar Sigurðsson, Alfonso Herrera, Cary Elwes, Rhian Rees, Elise Duffy, Sky Yang, and Charlotte Maggi.

"Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver continues the epic saga of Kora and the surviving warriors as they prepare to sacrifice everything, fighting alongside the brave people of Veldt, to defend a once peaceful village, a newfound homeland for those who have lost their own in the fight against the Motherworld. On the eve of their battle, the warriors must face the truths of their own pasts, each revealing why they fight. As the full force of the Realm bears down on the burgeoning rebellion, unbreakable bonds are forged, heroes emerge, and legends are made."

Just finished it. I...liked the laser sword paths as they are swung. Thats a positive. Um...what else...cool killer robots are always good, maybe it will get to do cooler stuff in the next one?
Hm. Ed Skrein was ok to watch.
Cool planetary visuals
Lots of explody stuff
Oh and if you like farming, there is like 20 mins of slo-mo farming montage.

Everything else was blah.

@Pathogen - why’d she cut off her own arms? Seems counter productive.

@philinterrupted - we will just assume that these heirloom arms are cybernetic enhancements, and that perhaps in her society there is a need or ritual for sacrifice to become one of their warriors, etc etc whatever lol

Looking forward to see how much worse a 3rd one will be.

@philinterrupted - After this one, I have a hard time seeing Netflix giving him the go ahead for more. At least for Rebel Moon.. if they really want to continue it I can see a possibility of them going animated! But I don't see netflix giving this man a blank check again. We'll sooner see a sequel to his Army of the Dead if they wanted to continue with Snyder.

@Itwasme - Whenever I work in my garden, I always do everything "slow-mo".

It takes a LOT longer, but it looks way cooler!

I'm sure Christopher Nolan is picking his jaw up from the floor after watching this one. His buddy Zack is an artist

Close to 0 emotion. Any scene that needs emotional depth is out of range for this guy. The slomo wheat tossing and other stuff - just cringe...

Action, pacing and overall story was a bit better than the first- so a 5/10, which maybe generous

Another mid movie imo, it has its high moments and its lows, it's a very simple concept and Part 2 is even simpler than Part 1, no twists or turns this time around, since they don't have to hop around the galaxy in order to recruit people everything happens on the same location/planet, it's just a revenge story that comes to an end and obviously Zack leaves the door open for a Part 3 that few people will bother to watch at this point...

This ain't no Star Wars, lel.

There's no Lore, it's missing that quid that elevates everything like the Force.

Once again, i'm chill about the slow-mo, my problem is how he keeps using em, 7 times out of 10 is random af, no sense of purpose, no style, like who gives a f*ck about Titus slashing wheat and people tossing it around, c'mon man...

The action was dope, no complains there.
The ost was nothing at all.
The characters are mostly fine but most of the actors are B-listers that can hardly act.
What else...not a fan Snyder's Netflix-made movies with their cinematography, shit's kinda ugly to look at, what's the deal with that blurry shit?

They talk about a 6 movie saga but naaah, man, skip to something else, cause this ain't it.
Maybe make a 3rd and last one but then invest your next years into some other concepts, he's a big fan of the Norse myth so make your own Thor or some shit...

Zack is too focused on what looks cool instead of what makes the story and characters compelling.
I call myself a Snyder fan but man, his Netflix outings have been horrendous and he needs to work with an actual screenwriter an an editor who will rein him in.

Rebel Moon had cool concept art, I thought it would be more METAL than what we got...
bland characters, bland action, bland story, worst of all casting the blandest actors.

Oh this was bad. cant wait for someone to work out exactly how much time would be taken off the overall running time if the slooooooowwww motion scenes were not in slow motion.
