The story is set in a future where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities. Tris Prior (Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it's too late.


Divergent is directed by Neil Burger (Limitless), and is based on a best-selling book series by Veronica Roth. The cast includes: Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Kate Winslet, Ray Stevenson, Mekhi Phifer, Maggie Q, Jai Courtney, Zoe Kravitz, Ashley Judd and Tony Goldwyn. It's set to hit theaters on March 21st, 2014.

She's the ideal MJ.
Beautiful and a very very talented actress.
They made a huge mistake cutting her out of the movie and it will be a big "shame on you" moment if Sony don't get her back for the third movie.

I was being sarcastic because of all of the uproar..although I do think she'd have been fine. I'v only seen her in that one George Clooney movie so not sure. She was great in that though.

Come on!!!

They photoshopped her with a supercomputer. We all know she doens't look like that in real life.

Also this movie will be Hunger Games lite.

The book started with an interesting premise but the end left a lot to be desired. Roth turned Tris into a Mary Sue halfway through the book. It seems like women authors do that more than men? I'm thinking of Laurel K Hamilton and Stephanie Meyer specifically. Their females become overpowered and obnoxious very quickly.
