Oldest Existing Star Trek Fan Film Circa 1971

Star Trek fan films are certainly nothing new, however this particular one is old. REALLY old. In fact, it dates back to 1971 and was a school project. As it stands, it's probably the oldest Trek fan film in existence.

i think its fake..
the badge design doesn't belong to the 70's.. and the sound quality seems too good for college kids recording in the 70's.. unless they're stinking rich :|
but still it can't be real as the badges are not from the 70's.

Organia? Really? I thought the Organians had had enough of humans AND Klingons a few years before this.

@SuperArgo

1971 broadcasting class? I doubt there was a black female student on average then.

@molee

The design of the badges probaly was fan inspired before the Phase2 or TMP were in production. At the time there was huge grass roots fan movment. The sound was most likely taken on a Reel to Reel that was part of the university studio equip for all projects. In a studio enviroment in 1971, yeah, the sound was that good. Funny you say that, I saw that the track was out of sinc.
