Isn't it weird how at the beginning of the summer everyone was raving about how good Star Trek was and at the end of the summer we're still talking about it. TrekMovie is reporting (via Geeks of Doom) that Star Trek will take up 85 IMAX screens in the U.S. and Canada for two weeks starting this weekend, filling the gap between Harry Potter and September 18's Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.

Most films are released in I-max for a month. Star Trek only got two weeks because of Night at The Museum coming out just after it. And then TROTF and Harry Potter came out and took over I-Max yet again. So i guess there is a god that believes in fairness and is allowing Star Trek to come back.

Squeeze every last drop of money out of it. Well I only saw it once...I suppose if I were to see it again, IMAX would be enough of a reason.

I already saw it in IMAX so I probably wouldn't pay to see it there again

I missed it the theater the first time around. Hearing this stokes me beyond belief! My friend whom I went to Wolverine with (and paid his way) said that he would pay for me to see Star Trek (since I felt I wasted my money on not one, but two, tickets) ended up seeing it at the drive-in with his girlfriend because it was playing as a double feature with Night at the Museum 2 and that's what she wanted to see! WTF?! Oh happy day! Sometimes life gives you a good bounce:)

I don't really get why everyone loved this movie so much.. I like sci-fi but I really hated this movie. I definitely won't be going to see the same suckfest on a bigger screen.
