it wont be avengers or superman. it will be something we havent thought of yet. probably not even scifi as ror points out. a new clancy novel is a good bet, it would take him back to his alias roots.

@josh did you see DEXTER!!?? Also Shaman I agree with Superman and ewww....zak penn is doing avengers?? I feel sick. I really wish I could do Y the last man, Yorick is right up my alley of characters i play well....damn it.

It was a brilliant episode with some fantastic moments but that ending...wow...just wow!

I cant imagine what's going to happen next season because this has got to be the biggest change in the show so far! What did you think of it?

Set2Fall: Yup, a lot of shows would have never had the guts to do that and would've had the season end on a pretty high note and then just given us the same old thing in a slightly different way next season...not Dexter though!! They had the balls to actually shake things up and not give us the reasonably happy ending we were all expecting! The best part is it leaves so many questions that we'll probably never know nd will forever wonder about - did Arthur tell Rita about 'Kyle Butler' etc?! Man, how different things would have been if Dexter had known what Trinity had done...the show is without a doubt the best on TV!!

wards: I was actually thinking the same sort thing, lol! As the episode ends and Dexter talks about being born in blood and fate, I have a feeing that he might just have that sort of thing in mind! I jus wish we had some idea about the direction next season will take...I dont see him going nuts with grief or anything but I think we'll see a completely different Dexter (there has to be some major changes after this I would of thought!)

@ward Heroes bugs me on so many levels I love certain actors cuz they do a great job. Its just ARGHH they abuse the powers so many powers but they're rarely used id love to see more actual fighting using the powers I could create a rant on powers alone.

@Joshw Seriously I agree with you both it would be a good idea but think of this. I read some of the books and his son or cody one of the 2 ends up killing small animals like he did. and he teaches him the code. I dont want the grandparents to adopt because he is a really good dad to them. JUST THINKING ABOUT IT MAKES ME LOVE THIS SHOW MORE. He wont go on a nationwide serial killer hunt because he has his system he can tell for sure if someone killed or didnt kill someone because he is so close with the cops. he leaves his district he cant do that. Debra HAS to find out i think she will end up finding out I really want DEXTER to kick QUINNS ASS. and I think we are going to see a more focused and together dexter. I dont think that we will see him thrown off his game because of how hurt he is about Rita's death ya know? He is gonna come back better than ever because he has responsibilities more now than ever. Police force is going to be wow just idk theyre like a family ya know.

Set2Fall: I agree - even though Dexter taking Harrison on the road and traning him is a cool idea it seems out of place for both the show and character and would probably not work all that well. I'm halfway through the third book myself and I have a feeling that Harrison is going to take Cody's place after the last episodes ending!

I read somewhere that the big plan for the end of this season was to have Deb find out about Dexter but they were worried that it would change next season too much - however, I think its likely that she will find out next season when they have time to develop the storyline rather than turning it into a cliffhanger sort of situation!

I can see Quinn becoming the next Doakes and it could be interesting to see what they do with that - he's getting more and more suspicious of Dexter and I can imagine things escalating between the two! We've already seen Dexter off his game after he killed his brother at the start of season 2 so I agree with you that we wont see the same sort of thing next season again!

The question is, who's going to look after the kids whilst Dexter is out with his Dark Passenger, lol!? You're also right about him being more focused - he made the mistake of trusting Lila and Miguel and lost his wife for not just killing Trinity when he had loads of chances - I think we'll see a Dexter much more like the one from season 1!! Whatever happens next season, I really hope that Harry is back - the scene in the jail cell between the two was brilliantly done!

Set2Fall: My bad, I meant that Harrison will take the place that Cody had in the book! The only problem with that is the fact Harrison is so young but the Season 4 finale definitely felt to me like they were hinting at something like that happenning in the future!!

As Dexter is involved with the police I doubt he'll come under too much heat from the cops - the already suspicious Quinn might become more interested in him though..! If Quinn finds out I have a feeling that however he takes it, Dexter is going to have to justify killing him - he very made the decision to kill Doakes and he made the mistake of trusting Miguel in Season 3 so I think he'll be tempted to take out Quinn if he has to!

There are literally dozens of possibilities (including all of the ones you mention) of where things could go from here next season but I have a feeling that whatever happens there will be BIG changes because otherwise, Rita's death will just feel pointless!

I havent gotten around to watching Six Feet Under yet because I got distracted by watching Chuck but I'm planning on buying the whole series boxset after Christmas!! :)

WHAT! What happend to the whole dark tower plan, oh well i guess it will never get made, such a shame......

i did an article about "500 rads" in editorials. go check it out. but its a movie he's making right now, and there is very little known about it. everything that is known is in my article. but abrams reportedly has a few "secret" movies in production right now, so i'm sure what Ror is talking about is something different.

i want j.j. to do a superman movie where kel-el actually fights a villain.
