According to new report by The Hollywood Reporter, Star Wars: The Force Awakens has surpassed Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films to become the fourth highest grossing film in Germany all-time! Over the weekend, the seventh Star Wars film grossed $7.3 million, bringing its total gross in the country to $92.8 million. The only films "The Force Awakens" trails is Disney's The Jungle Book, James Cameron's Titanic, and Avatar! Even though the newest Star Wars film is dominating the German box office, the report also adds that it could possibly face some competition from The Revenant, which racked up three golden globes yesterday.
