So I bought the Obi Wan centered one (#7), and while I enjoyed it, I was a bit disappointed by it's short length. Is that the typical length now? I guess since I've been mainly reading compendiums, I didn't realize how short the comic books are now.

@Fogs: No, this comic is between Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back.

@Philvis: my advice is: stick to trade paperbacks, the single issues nowadays are 24 pages of comic at best, and the eminently visual style currently common in comics doesn't lend itself to a small number of pages.

@Fogs Finn has Luke's lightsaber from Empire Strikes Back I believe. The one shown in the Force Awakens trailer, that Leia is handing someone, is the lightsaber that Luke is holding when Vader cuts his hand off. This is actually Anakin's lightsaber that Obi Wan gives Luke in Star Wars New Hope.

@TNTjesus - Yes, I figured Finn has Luke's 1st saber. I wanted to know when this comic story was passing though, and @DetBullock clarified that.

BTW to me it appears Rey's giving the saber to Leia, not the opposite.

@Mego: there was at least a year and a half between the two movies in-story, what happened in these comics until now is no more than a couple of months and that's stretching it.
