Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is now available, and it's thus far been praised as perhaps the best Star Wars video game to date.
We'll be sharing more details on the sequel in the days ahead, but there's one question we know many of you have been asking for months now: is Darth Vader in the game? You'll recall that the Sith Lord made a surprise appearance in the closing moments of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order when he battled Cal Kestis and former Sith Inquisitor Cere Junda.
While they didn't defeat the villain, they were able to slow him down by flooding Fortress Inquisitorius. So, does he come looking for revenge?
We can confirm that, yes, Darth Vader does appear in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
Anakin Skywalker returns around the halfway point when the Empire arrives on Jedha in an effort to destroy what's left of the Jedi Order. When Cere decides to go back to the Jedi Archives there in an effort to salvage something from them, Vader arrives and is understandably keen to exact his revenge on her.
An epic boss fight follows and, while we won't spoil that for you, rest assured it has major consequences for the rest of the game.
Developed by the veteran team at Respawn Entertainment, Jedi: Survivor will expand upon iconic Star Wars stories, worlds, and characters, and thrilling combat first experienced in Jedi: Fallen Order.
In the sequel, the dark times are closing in as Cal seeks out a safe haven far from the reach of the Empire in Jedi: Survivor, leaving the Jedi and his crew in an increasingly desperate fight as the Galaxy descends further into darkness.
A new launch teaser has also been released featuring Mark Hamill's return to the Star Wars franchise as he attempts to guide actor Cameron Monaghan in how best to be a Jedi.
It's a lot of fun, and you can check it out below:
