Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Wants A Role In STAR WARS: EPISODE VII

Dwayne Johnson has become one of the biggest action stars in Hollywood since putting his wrestling career on hold, although he has still somehow managed to find time to return to the WWE in order to become the current world champion. However, for some reason, we have yet to see the artist formally (and sort of currently) known as The Rock in a major superhero or sci-fi movie. As it turns out, he's a big fan. "I played with two lines of action figures when I was a kid, 'G.I. Joe' and 'Star Wars'," the actor and wrestler told News.Com.AU while promoting G.I. Joe: Retaliation. "By the way, because we didn't have a lot of money, I used to steal them. I'd just rip open the packages and shove 'em in my pockets ... like a lot of kids. I got caught a couple of times, got my ass kicked by my parents." This led to the actor to touch upon how it felt to be asked to join the cast of the new G.I. Joe movie, and he additionally confirmed that he would be interested in being a part of another franchise he loves; Star Wars. "So when I got the call saying, 'How do you feel about becoming the leader of the G.I. Joes?', it was like if I got a call from George Lucas saying, 'I want you to be in Star Wars'. I'm gonna call J.J. and you're gonna help by printing it and I'm gonna be in 'Star Wars'!" Would you guys like to see Dwayne in the new Star Wars movie?

I'd actuall like to see him as a sith. His acting has improved and we know that he is good at playing a badass so I dont see why he shouldn't be given a change.

Ok, since no one has said it yet: Darth Bane! He would totally kick ass in that role.

The Rock SHOULD BE the biggest action star in the world, but they don't really make the kind of action movies that launched Schwarzenneger and Stallone and Willis to that status anymore.

Make him a Mandalorian BH, nuff said. Just make his role dark and a complete hardass, none of that non-humorous bullshit joke cracking needs to go on. He needs a straight up ass kicker type role. And dont pull a Maul and kill him off in one movie either type shit. It could be done

So do I it doesn't mean I should and would. He has done lots of family films. So I don't really think he would be the perfect person for the film. I know if he gets to be in the right film he can be pretty good. But all I can think of him is dancing around like a ballerina. So not who I see as a member of the New Republic or Imperial Remnant.

Preferably something in full-prothetics ...and a mute role.
Don't want his ugly mug or him trying to act tarnishing StarWars' fresh new start.

Nerd gripe: He's not the World Champion (thats the former WCW title), Alberto Del Rio is. Rock is the WWE Champion (shorter lineage but more prestiguous). And hell yeah, gimme' a mini-roided up Lando Jr!

A "chav"? Nope..don't think you know what the word means. Childish and annoying? To some I may be, but I'd rather be that that a complete and utter c~nt.

My first thought was no. Once epitome mentioned Darth Bane, I changed my mind to yes. Dwayne Johnson would have to be willing to accept a bit part as a character in vision form, though. The part could be expanded in a separate film, however.

Star Wars doesn't need the Rock to pump up their franchise, the source material can do that all on its own. If the new script has a role that's just perfect for him, I'm up for it, but absolutely no need to make a role just for him.

@Alexthekaiser- Oh but the Rock IS a pretty solid actor. You mentioned his charisma, that's all a part of acting

If the rock gets a part in anything Star Wars I'm getting rid of everything I have, evenings for the stories. Dwayne Johnson is a shitty actor.

I say paint him up with gold body paint and let him be the new C3P0! But seriously, I'd like to see him in a star wars flick. With as many as they're planning to make, I'm sure it'll happen.

Put some pale make-up on him and cast him as Darth Malgus in in The Old Republic movie. The Rock is a great actor who has just not been in the best of movies. I'd love to see him in Star Wars!

USAgent beat me to it. The Rock would be ideal as a Mandalorian. He could play the kind of guy that would kill a Jedi with his bare hands.

Thanks but no thanks, Dwayne. I'd rather they cast all new actors for roles other than the ones returning from the original series. Everyone was new to us the first time, and casting familiar faces in the second series couldn't save it from the failures that infested it (thanks, George), so give us fresh faces and a fresh story...please.

Well if he wants to be in it allow him to be something like a bounty hunter or a huge Mandalorian.

The Rock looks as if he could take two Wookies heads all by himself.
