Ewan McGregor Plays Down OBI-WAN KENOBI Movie Rumors; Praises THE LAST JEDI As "Beautiful"

Following his Golden Globes acceptance speech tonight, Ewan McGregor was asked about the recent reports that Disney/Lucasfilm had an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie in the works, and he said it was "just talk"...

We found out last year that an Obi-Wan Kenobi standalone film was in development, but despite showing up to The Golden Globes sporting a very familiar-looking beard, Ewan McGregor has played down rumors that he'll be reprising the role.

The actor, who won an award for his performance in season 3 of Fargo, reiterated that he would be up for returning as the Jedi Master after bringing the younger version of the character to life many years ago in the Prequels, but maintains that for the time being it's just "a lot of talk."

MvGregor has seen The Last Jedi, though, and was full of praise for the latest Star Wars flick.

What do you guys make of McGregor's comments? Is he just playing coy? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place.
