Below you'll find the first TV promo for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. There may only be a couple of snippets of new footage (if that?), but it still serves as a gentle reminder that we're getting a new Star Wars movie come December.

You'd think Disney would communicate that this takes place before A New Hope.

Maybe as the film gets closer the promotion will change.

Hope this movie is good, and I hope that Disney starts to explore the Star Wars universe more. Let's stop focusing on the original trilogy and move on to other eras for heaven's sakes.

Pleeeeeease Disney, if you're going to go back in time......use your resources and bringing back The Old Republic. Has the greatest potential and a game changer. Easily can make it coincide with the new trilogy and opens the door for more exploration down the road.

Exactly. If they are going consider doing any spin-off trilogy, it should be something we actually want, like TOR and not HAN SOLO (the one spin-off nobody asked for).

@Menks123 - I think they will after the sequel trilogy. At Disneyland, while it's not from the powers that shape where the franchise goes, there's a description on Kylo Ren's saber that states he built it himself based on an ancient design he found...
