Is Daisy Ridley Discussing STAR WARS: Episode VIII And IX A Spoiler?

Fans have speculated over whose body it is Daisy Ridley is crying over in previously released The Force Awakens footage. But just how safe is Rey? Apparently, very safe! Ridley doesn't disclose any details but she does confirm she's talked with Rian Johnson.

Promotional footage would have you believe that Daisy Ridley's Rey is in mortal danger from Adam Driver's Kylo Ren but given how Ridley discusses Episode VIII and IX, it seems safe to say that Rey survives the encounter. Lots of ground is covered in the interview below, including whether Ridley has popped up on the set of the Rouge One spinoff, the initial advice she recieved from J.J. Abrams on taking the role and more.

In this continuation of the epic space opera saga, a downed stormtrooper (John Boyega) goes on an epic journey, joining forces with a desert outcast and reconnects with heroic faces from the past (Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill). Can they find allies and in time to survive the perilous threat of The First Order (Adam Driver,Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Andy Serkis)?

Boyega recently let it slip that FINN'S BACKSTORY will further be explored in the coming episodes for the rest of the trilogy.

My theory is that Fin gets his hand or hands sliced off by Kylo and this is actually him and not Skywalker.

I don't know anything about Rey. All I know is that if Chewbacca dies, I'm going to cry like a little girl.

. . . if you're an idiot. She's the new Luke, of course they wouldn't kill her off in the first movie.

Ok, here's my theory regarding where's Luke. Bear in mind, I have tried to avoid most news articles regarding the new movie, so I might be way off due to lack of info. Anyway, here it is:

I have been thinking about the fact that the Rebellions seems to have failed to create a New Republic and after 30+ years, they are still having a Galactic Civil War between the Empire and the now called Resistance. But why did the Rebellion failed? Why is there no New Republic?

What ingredient is currently missing that was present during the creation of Old Republic? The answer is the Jedi. The Jedi where instrumental in the creation of the Old Republic. Not just due to their martial skills, but because of their diplomatic skills. They brought everyone together.

Maybe, just maybe, Luke Skywalker realized this. He realized that the Galaxy wasn't going to come together against the Dark Side inspired Galactic Empire. He realized that the Galaxy needed the Jedi but while there still was a war raging, he couldn't just set up shop with an open academy because it would be targeted all the time by the agents of the Empire. Therefore, he went underground. Looking for individuals strong in the Force. Growing again the ranks of the Jedi in secrecy...and they are about to come back.

Finn could actually be a young Jedi serving as a scout infiltrated within the Empire. That would explain him escaping and him wielding a lightsaber like if he knows what he's doing.

If I am right, I suspect that Luke will be missing for most of the film and show up at the end to save the day with his New Jedi Order. That would leave the door open to the plot of the next movie which would be how the Imperials respond to the Jedi by recruiting Dark Siders.

So, that's my theory. What do you think?

Of course she's safe. They're not gonna kill off the main character that's being portrayed by a fresh faced, up and coming actress.

@Priest here's my theory:

Kylo and Rey are Han and Leia's kids. Everyone is assuming they are twins because Luke and Leia are twins and of course Jacen and Jaina from the EU are twins. But I think no. Adam Driver is 9 years older than Daisy Ridley.

So my theory is that Luke HAD started a new Jedi Academy, and Kylo was one of his younglings - about 9 years old. Snoke attacked the Academy and killed the younglings, kidnapping Kylo and burning all the bodies so that it looked like he'd been killed. The aftermath of that scene is where that shot of Luke and R2 comes in.

Luke decides not to restart the academy, and takes the newborn Rey away from Han and Leia to protect her. Realizing that Snoke would be able to sense where Luke is, he hides Rey on Jakku and secludes himself.

The second attack on younglings is WHY the Force isn't spoken about except for whispers and stories. People are afraid of the Force - afraid their Force sensitive children could be murdered.

This explains why Luke and Rey are in hiding, why Kylo has turned to the Dark Side, and why nobody talks about the Force. What say you?

I say this movie can either be awesome or suck balls. 10 days. Put your theories to rest and simply live your life w/o thinking about it too much.
