While I wish they would have gone with a less R2-D2-esque design for BB-8, I am so happy with his overall execution as a practical character.

I hope above all hopes that this movie doesn't turn out like Jurassic World...an average (at best) film that made its millions purely off of nostalgia. While you can't avoid the nostalgia train with Star Wars (we arguably haven't had a 'good' movie in 30 years), I really hope JJ has put as much thought and care into his story and characters as he has with channeling the spirit of the original trilogy.
