Season 2 of Star Wars Rebels will not only feature James Earl Jones returning to voice Vader and Ashley Eckstein reprising the role of Ashoka, but Buffy the Vampire Slayer herself Sarah Michelle Geller joining the cast as a mysterious character many believe will turn out to be a young Princess Leia. Plus, we'll be seeing some more familiar faces from the Clone Wars such as Captain Rex. Though Ahsoka will play a "significant role" in the series moving forward, don't expect her to pop up every week. Like Vader, the character will be used sparingly to maintain some mystery and excitement for the episodes in which they are featured.

Continuing the epic tradition of the legendary Star Wars saga, "Star Wars Rebels" unfolds between the events of Star Wars Episodes III and IV and tells the story of the motley but clever crew of the starship Ghost who together face threatening new villains, encounter colorful adversaries and embark on thrilling adventures. In its second season, "Star Wars Rebels" will feature recurring appearances by fan-favorite characters including Darth Vader and Ahsoka Tano.

The one problem I have with introducing Vader is I think he should win. His presence should mean death to anyone but Luke. Yet, I'm sure the show won't end with him chopping everyone in half, it being a kid's show and all.

I enjoy this SW series but I'm surprised that it got a 2nd season. It only averaged 0.68 million in views in its 1st season.

@ Retrofit - I'd rather see Yoda stories set hundreds of years ago. He's 900 years old, he has thousands of stories to tell. Old Republic tuff would be great, seeing like a very young Yoda as a Jedi knight and not yet a wizened master.

@Dandy hit the nail on the head. Rebels "is pretty damn good. It's better than Clone Wars was when it first started out, but it isn't has good as Clone Wars in it's prime."

After finishing Rebels I decided to start watching TCW. The first two seasons are decent with a few excellent episodes sprinkled in, but I'm half way through Season 3 and it's really picking up now. I hope Rebels can ascend to this awesomeness.

According to those who saw the advance release the vader duel is very much a one sided fight.
