As of right now, it appears as if Solo: A Star Wars Story will be Lucasfilm's first real flop and that's bound to have an impact on how Disney goes about greenlighting spinoffs like this moving forward. Whether moviegoers just weren't interested in a Han Solo origin story or a combination of behind the scenes issues and a bad marketing campaign were to blame, though, is something we may never know.
In the meantime, at least we can enjoy some awesome new concept art from Solo! This latest batch puts the focus on Donald Glover's Lando Calrissian and his faithful droid/lover (yes, lover) L3-37.
While it's clear that Lucasfilm always had a very specific idea in mind for how the former should look, the studio's talented team of concept artists clearly took their time deciding on a look for the droid and she went through an awful lot of iterations before a final look was decided on.
