New STAR WARS: TFA Character Profiles May Confirm A Major SPOILER

The official Star Wars website has updated its databanks with some new tidbits about some of the minor characters from J.J. Abrams' The Force Awakens, and one entry in particular seems to confirm a pretty massive plot SPOILER pertaining to the First Order...

You may remember one of the very first Star Wars: The Force Awakens plot rumors that circulated made mention of a new ultimate weapon, even more powerful than the Death Star? Well, it looks like that one was on the level - and then some! Below we have some new details on several of the more minor characters that'll be introduced in the movie, and while most of that info is interesting enough, the one to pay closest attention to is "Starkiller Base."

Teedo

Guavian Death Gang Enforcers

The security soldiers of the Guavian Death Gang wear high impact armor that makes them stand out among other deadly criminals.

B-U4D Buford

Tough and hard-working, B-U4D (Buford) is part of the ground crew that keeps the Resistance starfighters fueled and combat-ready.

Goss Toowers

Goss Toowers is part of the tireless technical crew that provides mechanical support to the Resistance’s fleet of starfighters.

Ello Asty

Ello Asty is a skilled if occasionally reckless X-wing starfighter pilot for the Resistance.

Sarco Plank

A scavenger and trader who scours frontier worlds for riches, Sarco Plank must wear a specialized mask that keeps his native atmosphere circulating through his alien lungs.

Unkar’s Thugs

The strong-armed bullies who work for junk dealer Unkar Plutt help keep his scavenging business running on the remote, lawless world of Jakku.

ME-8D9

Known as Emmie by the unallied scoundrels on Takodana, ME-8D6 is a protocol droid that is often called upon to translate less-than-legal deals.

First Order Interrogator Droids

Prisoners of the First Order are compelled to divulge their deepest secrets when subjected to the terrible Interrogator Droid under the command of Kylo Ren.

Starkiller Base

An ice planet converted into a stronghold of the First Order and armed with a fiercely destructive new weapon capable of destroying entire star systems.

Tasu Leech

Tasu Leech leads the notorious Kanjiklub gang, an intergalactic criminal organization.

PZ-4CO

PZ-4CO is a constant fixture in Resistance base control rooms, offering tactical data and communications support during important operations.

Constable Zuvio

A vigilant law officer on a mostly lawless world, the tough and humorless Constable Zuvio keeps order in a frontier trading post.

Teedo

Teedo is a small, brutish scavenger that roams Jakku’s vast wasteland on his semi-mechanical Luggabeast.

So, this Starkiller weapon won't just be capable of destroying a planet, but an entire star system. I guess after all that Trade Federation bunk from the prequels Abrams and co. felt the need to go back to a much larger, more immediate threat - but are we going to looking at yet another race to stop ultimate destruction scenario, only with a big light blasting down from the sky instead of up into it? Yes, I am being cynical, and maybe I'm reading far too much into it. What do you guys think?

The Deathstar could only destroy one planet at a time. Now we have something that can destroy star systems?! Holy crap! One thing is for sure, they weren't feeling subtle when naming it. Wasn't Starkiller Luke's original name in the early scripts? Then they brought it back for Galen Marek in the Force Unleashed

@LEVITIKUZ I honestly think that Galen Marek deserves his own films. Maybe like anthologies like rogue one but it would be even better if they had him in TFA. Imagine that at this Starkiller Base, everyone thinks that the weapon is some huge gun like the Deathstar, but in fact that it's Vader's apprentice who has been kept in cryo-sleep. He was stronger than Vader and Luke, it would make sense that he is the ultimate weapon. They can have Sam Witwer reprise the role too!

Still sayin Starkiller is Kylo Ren. That Vader obsession would make sense.

Hmm...

Interesting reference.

It does sound pretty similar to the old "sun crusher", but I honestly kinda like this more. I mean, they're both basically the exact same descriptor, but "star killer" just sounds a little more intense.

And I'm willing to bet that if the version of the Star Killer in this movie isn't mobile, it will be in the 3rd one.

Where do they expect people to live If they keep on blowing up entire star system on planets like Hoth they would freeze there balls off. Wait Hoth was one Planet that got destroyed great Job you guys are now the rulers of nothing because that is what happens when you blow up entire star systems.

@Indy Ah ok, sorry was confused. Yeah it does seem extreme to take out Star Systems. Hopefully they didn't leave a small hatch the size of a womp rat leading to it's core.

Damn closed minded nerds...just because it CAN destroy entire Star Systems, doesn't mean that's all it does ior it doesn't mean it can't destroy smaller stuff...geez y'all just take everything you read and that's what you know.

@capcyclopsftw Agreed, we don't know enough about it yet. The Death Star needed line of sight. I would imagine this would likely work on the same principal so how does it make sense to have this thing stationary on a planet? Seems like it wouldn't be able to aim being on a planet.
