Is Poe Dameron's Father In Star Wars: Rogue One?

After I initially saw the newly released Star Wars Rogue one trailer I was very excited. Of course the critical nerd in me wanted to dissect the trailer frame by frame and try and notice things other people might not. There was one character during the beginning while Mon Mothma

is addressing Felicity Jones character Jyn Erso
and during her speech about how shes pretty much had a defiant rebellious life and then it shows a character who at the moment remains unnamed but played by the actor Diego Luna.

When I saw this mysterious character I originally thought of the father of Ezra Bridger from the Star Wars Rebels show. I'm not quite caught up on the show but its touched on Ezra's parents being dead but the show hasn't really confirmed 100% that they are dead (maybe it'll be cleared up once I catch up this week). This seemed like a little bit of a stretch even though the resemblance is definitely there.

So then I thought "hmmmmmm, he defeinitely reminds me of someone. Then it struck me, the jacket, the look on his face, HE LOOKS LIKE POE DAMERON! So I did some digging and found out who his father was. Kes Dameron. Thanks to http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kes_Dameron it kinda of solidified my theory. His father fought as a Rebel Alliance Soldier. The resemblance is even more uncanny than Ezra Bridger's father (I keep wanting to say Ezra Miller after seeing Batman v Superman 4 times, STOP IT CHRIS!)

Sorry, moving on . . . I think that the character in this trailer during the talk with Jyn Erso IS Kes Dameron. It would explain how Poe Dameron got involved with the resistance. It's in his blood. Probably trained as a child. Helps explain his amazing piloting. I had to write this now so I have actual proof that I called this NOW. SO HA! If its not though, then whatever, its a good theory and its cohesive and the timelines matchup perfectly if we are belived Poe Dameron's age in the Star Wars Universe is close to his actual age (37). We'll find out this holiday season. I can't wait.

Are you excited for this film. Agree with my theory? Think my theory is trash? Let me know down in the comments. May the force be with you.
